Poland’s cities roll out historic tram tours for summer 2026

From 4 July 2026, Szczecin will operate a seasonal tourist tram line 0 on weekends and on 14 August, running a one‑way circuit that passes landmarks such as the Port Gate, Stocznia Szczecińska and the Brama Portowa square. The service, which will continue until 30 August 2026, uses historic high‑floor wagons (e.g., 216H, 293H, 343H, 167H) and tickets cost 5.00 zł for adults and 3.70 zł for reduced fares.

In Warsaw, the summer programme features historic tram cars borrowed from Kraków (S2D 506 “Duży Szczeciniak”) and Poznań (GT6 2513). These join the city’s oldest collections on lines T and 36, which now run daily on weekends, holidays and, for line 36, every day of the season. Passengers can ride 1940s‑50s “berlinki”, post‑war Konstal N units and 1960s‑70s “parówki” (13N) and “akwaria” (105Na). The initiative celebrates the 160th anniversary of Warsaw trams and expands cooperation with other Polish networks, with Gdańsk slated to join later.

Both cities aim to attract residents and tourists by offering a nostalgic travel experience through historic streets and key urban sites.
