Poland's Clean Air Program Disburses Millions for Home Heating Retrofits

The Polish "Clean Air" (Czyste Powietrze) program, administered by the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, has disbursed 3,858,135.29 zł in grants to the municipality of Garbatka-Letnisko. Between 19 September 2018 and 31 March 2026, 194 applications were submitted, 168 funding contracts signed, and 102 renovation projects completed.

The scheme offers owners of single‑family homes subsidies for replacing inefficient heating systems, adding insulation, upgrading windows and doors, and installing mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. Support levels range from 40 % to 100 % of eligible costs, determined by household income. Local consultation points are open in Garbatka‑Letnisko (Skrzyńskich 1) and Dzierżoniów County (H. Sienkiewicza 18) to assist residents with applications and documentation.

Authorities encourage eligible homeowners to apply promptly to reduce heating bills, improve indoor comfort, and lower local air‑pollution emissions. Funding for multi‑family dwellings is not yet available, though a new program phase is under development.
