Poland's coastal cycling routes on Hel Peninsula and Lake Kopań attract tourists

Two scenic cycling routes in northern Poland are highlighted for their unique landscapes and family‑friendly conditions. The 30‑kilometre trail from Władysławowo to the tip of the Hel Peninsula runs along flat, well‑marked paths, offering continuous sea views, stops at seaside towns such as Chałupy, Kuźnica, Jastarnia and Jurata, and attractions including a seal sanctuary, lighthouse and the Museum of Coastal Defence.

A separate route follows the narrow Mierzeja of Lake Kopań between Darłowo and Jarosławiec, where cyclists ride along a spit that separates the Baltic Sea from the lake. The path provides vistas of both water bodies, opportunities for birdwatching, access to amber‑rich beaches and a new bridge completed after a recent renovation. Both trails form parts of the Velo Baltica network and are promoted as low‑traffic alternatives to driving, appealing to families, casual riders and nature enthusiasts.
