Poland's e‑commerce sector expands with new OCR receipt tool and rising convenience demand

PanParagon, a Polish receipt‑management app, added OCR support for deposit (kaucyjne) receipts, allowing users to photograph vouchers and have the data automatically stored with reminders for voucher expiry. The update also introduced a product catalog showing ingredient lists, nutritional values and quality ratings, plus a budget‑tracking module that is now available to all users rather than premium subscribers.

A DHL eCommerce Trends Report 2026 shows Polish consumers increasingly value convenience: 92% are “convenience shoppers”, 78% prefer mobile‑app purchases and 68% favor parcel‑locker pickup and returns. Trust in delivery operators is high, with 70% unwilling to buy from brands whose logistics partners they distrust. The report notes growing cross‑border buying (74% of Poles order from China) and predicts AI will influence 29% of future purchase decisions.
