Poland's fire services graduate 200 new firefighters and elect new volunteer brigade chief

On 27 June, more than 200 graduates of the Central School of the State Fire Service were formally promoted in Częstochowa. The ceremony marked the beginning of their service in fire departments across Poland. Officials, including Brigadier Dariusz Andryszkiewicz and the school commander, highlighted the training and the ethos of the service – “God to the glory, people to rescue.”

On 12 June, the Municipal Branch of the Volunteer Fire Brigade Union held its 8th gathering in Powidz. After 31 years of leadership, veteran chief Jerzy Szczepaniak stepped down and was honoured as President‑Honorary. Joanna Kaczyńska was elected as the new president, with a new board of vice‑presidents and secretaries taking office.
