Poland's food safety authority halts Asian imports over labeling violations

Poland's Trade Quality Inspection of Agricultural and Food Products has stopped several shipments of Asian food items from entering the market. The agency cited discrepancies between product labels and their actual composition, which do not meet Polish and EU food‑safety standards.

The inspection body checks documentation, ingredient lists, allergen information and permissible additives before allowing goods from third‑country markets to be sold. Growing consumer demand for Asian cuisine has increased imports, but differing production and labeling rules in source countries create operational risks that require rigorous checks. Products failing to comply are withdrawn to protect consumers and ensure accurate labeling on the Polish market.
