Poland's FSRU 2 LNG Terminal Secures Shared Slot Deal Among Major Energy Firms
Four Polish energy companies—Enea, Orlen, PGE and Unimot—have signed an agreement to share LNG delivery slots at the upcoming FSRU 2 floating terminal in the Bay of Gdańsk. The pact enables the users to jointly utilise regasification capacity, providing year‑round access to the terminal’s services regardless of individual supply schedules.
The agreement covers 74 % of the terminal’s total capacity, which is part of the "Northern Gate" project aimed at positioning Poland as a regional gas hub. The slot‑sharing mechanism does not increase physical throughput but improves flexibility, risk management and predictability of gas volumes entering the national transmission system. Officials highlighted that the development supports Poland’s energy security, diversifies supply routes and contributes to the goal of reaching nearly 50 billion m³ of annual gas imports by 2030.
