Poland's GIS warns of Salmonella in Verdin Fix dietary supplement batch

Poland’s Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) issued a public warning about a specific batch of the dietary supplement Verdin Fix Kompozycja 6 ziół after detecting Salmonella bacteria in one of five tested samples. The contaminated batch is identified as L:26/062P, with a minimum shelf‑life until 31 March 2028, and is produced by USP Zdrowie Sp. z o.o. in Warsaw.

The manufacturer has voluntarily withdrawn the batch from circulation and halted further shipments while authorities conduct an investigation into how the contamination occurred. GIS advises consumers not to consume the product from this batch and to seek medical attention if symptoms of salmonellosis—such as diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain or fever—appear. The risk of live bacteria in the brewed tea is reduced when prepared according to the instructions, which use high temperatures that can destroy Salmonella.

"Do not consume the product from the warned batch," the GIS notice advises.
