Poland's Gołębiewski Hotel in Pobierowo Opens After Eight Years, Costing About 1 Billion Złoty

The Gołębiewski Holding announced that its new hotel in Pobierowo, the largest hotel project in Poland, has opened after eight years of construction. The investment reached roughly 1 billion zł, with about 70 % funded from the founder Tadeusz Gołębiewski’s own capital and the remainder financed externally. The partially operational complex currently offers around 530 rooms, an aquapark, several pools, children's play areas, restaurants, cafés and the region’s largest conference facilities, with a plan to expand to 770 rooms within two years.

The opening follows a difficult succession period after the founder’s death in 2022 and controversy over tree removal at the site. Gołębiewski Holding indicated that the cleared forest was compensated by planting nearly 4 000 new trees and that the hotel occupies a former military site. The company intends to modernise its other Polish properties and consider future projects abroad in markets with longer tourism seasons.
