Poland's Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński sues journalist Joanna Miziołek
Minister of Interior and Administration Marcin Kierwiński filed a civil lawsuit against Polsat News journalist Joanna Miziołek. The dispute stems from Miziołek's posts on X about alleged SMS messages showing a doctor sending Kierwiński photos of a so‑called VIP room at Warsaw's South Hospital, a claim she linked to Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s remarks. Kierwiński denied ever receiving such images, wrote that Miziołek was "spreading lies" and demanded a correction. He later sued, seeking a retraction, an apology and a 2,000 zł donation to the fire brigade. Journalist Dorota Gawryluk defended Miziołek, questioning whether such inquiries are permissible. Kierwiński reiterated his demand for a correction and threatened further legal action.
