Poland's July 5 2026 non‑trading Sunday keeps most stores closed

July 5 2026 is not a trading Sunday in Poland, meaning the majority of large grocery chains, discount stores, supermarkets and hypermarkets will remain closed. Stores such as Biedronka, Lidl, Aldi, Kaufland, Dino, Netto, Stokrotka, Carrefour and Auchan are subject to the ban.

Exceptions allow operation of fuel stations, pharmacies, bakeries, florists, small owner‑run shops, and outlets at stations or airports that meet legal criteria. The preceding trading Sunday was June 28 2026; the next will be August 30 2026. Violations of the trading ban can incur fines ranging from 1,000 zł to 100,000 zł, with possible additional penalties for repeated offences.
