Poland's KRUS sets 2026 farmer insurance premiums and launches health check campaign
The Regional Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) in Białystok announced the monthly insurance contributions for farmers, their spouses, household members and farm helpers for the third quarter of 2026. The standard accident, illness and maternity insurance premium is 78 zł, reduced to 26 zł for limited‑scope coverage. The pension‑insurance premium is 178 zł, with additional amounts ranging from 214 zł to 855 zł depending on farm size. Payments for the main premiums are due by 31 July 2026, while contributions for helpers must be paid by the 15th of the following month.
KRUS, together with the National Health Fund (NFZ), is also organising a six‑day "Weź się zbadaj" health promotion action from 1–6 December 2025 in the Białystok region. The programme offers occupational safety training, self‑examination workshops, psychological talks, and mobile medical units – Dentobus for dental services and Mammobus for mammography – at schools, a museum and other local venues. The aim is to encourage farmers, their families and rural residents to use preventive health services.
