Poland's labor market stays robust with 1.6% unemployment

Poland recorded a 1.6% unemployment rate at the end of 2025, the lowest level in the European Union. Eurostat analysis shows that only about 3.5% of Polish job seekers faced a mismatch between their qualifications and available vacancies, well below the EU average.

The strong labour market persists despite demographic challenges, with employers across sectors continuing to post vacancies. In the West Pomeranian region, the opening of Hotel Gołębiewski has intensified competition for seasonal staff, especially in hospitality, gastronomy, retail and related services. About 35% of seasonal job offers nationwide are in gastronomy, with typical hourly wages of 30–35 zł plus possible bonuses or tips.

Overall, the Polish job market remains one of the EU's most resilient, combining low unemployment, limited skill mismatches, and heightened demand for workers in tourism‑driven regions.
