Lubartów and Dobrkowo host large Polish cycling festivals

Lubartów will hold its 33rd Bike Festival on 28 June, combining the event with Poland's edition of World Bike Day. Organisers aim to attract more participants than the town’s population, a feat described as a potential world‑record. The festival includes charity fundraising for former organiser Edyta Lewtak, who now requires full care, as well as a free‑shirt giveaway and live coverage by TVP3 Lublin and Radio Lublin.

Earlier, on 21 June, the Polish Gymnastics Society “Sokół” staged its 15th pilgrimage bike ride from Dobrkowo to Stary Sącz. Twenty‑five cyclists rode from several nearby villages, attended a mass led by the Bishop of Tarnów, and enjoyed a family festival at the destination. The group highlighted logistical support, refreshments, and a charitable spirit throughout the ride.
