Poland's Międzyrzecz Fortifications and Kaszuby Region Highlighted as Vacation Spots

The Międzyrzecki Rejon Umocniony (MRU) near Międzyrzecz, one of Europe’s largest WWII fortification systems built by Germany between 1934‑1944, features underground corridors spanning 32‑35 km, protected bunkers and a bat reserve housing over 30 000 individuals of 12 species.
