Poland's Międzyzdroje and Lake Zawiat attract summer visitors

Międzyzdroje, a longtime popular Baltic‑sea resort, was described as a bustling “seaside market” with narrow beaches, numerous stalls, and higher prices – for example, a 100 g fillet of cod costs 19.90 zł. The town offers a clean but confined beach, limited parking, and easy access to the nearby Wolin National Park for walking and cycling.

The lake‑side bathing area at Zawiat in Bieszkowice reopened early July after upgrades that include a renovated pier and an expanded sand beach. Lifeguards from the local water rescue service patrol the site. Water quality tests on 26 June deemed the lake suitable for swimming, with water temperature around 20 °C and air temperature reaching 23 °C. The site is promoted as a family‑friendly alternative to crowded coastal resorts.

Both locations highlight regional efforts to improve tourist infrastructure and capitalize on the 2026 summer season in Poland's Pomeranian region.
