Poland's Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz outlines pension and tax reforms

Minister Katarzyna Pełczyńska‑Nałęcz told Radio Kielce that the governing coalition will keep its promise to be truthful and respectful to Polish citizens. She announced proposals to raise the retirement age for childless women and to increase the personal income‑tax threshold from 120,000 to 140,000 złoty, arguing that the frozen second bracket effectively raises taxes for many, such as teachers.

Pełczyńska‑Nałęcz also said the government will raise taxes on large corporations while keeping rates low for individuals. She highlighted that more than 3 billion złoty from the National Reconstruction Plan has already been allocated to the Świętokrzyskie region, with over 52,000 contracts signed. The minister will meet residents in Skarżysko‑Kamienna, Małogoszcz and Kielce to discuss these reforms.
