Poland's mObywatel app adds business suspension and proxy management feature

The Polish government has updated the mObywatel mobile application to let owners of sole‑proprietorships pause, resume or cancel the suspension of their businesses directly from a smartphone. Users can submit the request through the app’s “Firma” service, sign it with a Trusted Profile, and have the change sent automatically to the CEIDG register, eliminating a visit to the office.

The upgrade also introduces tools for managing authorized representatives and procurators, allowing entrepreneurs to add, edit or remove them within the same interface. The functionality became available on 29 June 2026 and is accessible to adult Polish citizens who have activated their electronic ID and a Trusted Profile in the app.
