Mateusz Morawiecki launches Rozwój Plus event, outlines demographic plan
On 31 July 2026 former prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki hosted the "Rozwój + Wy" gathering in Warsaw under the banner of his association Rozwój Plus. The open‑air event combined a grill, ping‑pong and children’s activities with panels on demography, economics and the future direction of Poland. Morawiecki warned that demography is the nation’s biggest challenge, saying Poland could cease to exist without decisive action, and presented a "Parenthood Salary" proposal that would grant a minimum‑wage benefit to parents of children aged 0‑3, linked to pension contributions.
The gathering was financed by contributions from Rozwój Plus members, with the former premier noting that the association already counts hundreds of members and thousands of prospective supporters. Attendees spanned a wide cross‑section of society, including PiS figures Jadwiga Goss and Sylwia Sobolewska, former deputy Jan Maria Rokita, and chess grandmaster Garri Kasparov. A parliamentary club of Rozwój Plus, comprising 40 deputies and one senator, was also announced. Morawiecki said a "great convention" of the movement is scheduled for 15 October 2026.
