Poland's New Left launches summer road campaign

The New Left (Nowa Lewica) coalition opened its summer road tour, branded “Lewica dowozi”, on Saturday in Falenty near Warsaw. Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski inaugurated the itinerary, stating the party will “fight for 2027” and aims to mobilise voters while reinforcing its alliance with Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

The campaign highlights the party’s government achievements, such as introducing a widow’s pension, enabling transcription of same‑sex marriages performed abroad, and pushing housing reforms. It also vows to combat “junk contracts”, improve workplace safety, and act as a barrier against the far‑right. Key figures, including Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz‑Bąk, joined the launch. The tour will visit towns including Kruszwica and Inowrocław before moving on to the Pomeranian region, with the goal of meeting citizens in dozens of locales across Poland.
