Poland’s Police Day marked by nationwide Mass and Warsaw ceremony

On 26 July 2026 a solemn Mass was held for the Polish Police and broadcast worldwide. The service was celebrated by Police Chief Gen. Insp. Marek Boron, attended by senior police leaders and their families, and the homily was delivered by Bishop Wiesław Lechowicz, the chaplain of the Polish Armed Forces.

Two days earlier, on 24 July 2026, central Police Day events took place on Piłsudski Square in Warsaw. Police officers from the Kraków Prevention Unit served in an honor‑guard sub‑detachment during the ceremony, which featured the presentation of state and ministry medals, promotions to higher ranks, and the awarding of first‑officer appointments. High‑level state officials and representatives of uniformed services from Poland and abroad participated, highlighting the national significance of the celebration.
