Poland's projected 2027 pension indexation at 3.48%
The Polish government has submitted a proposal to the Social Dialogue Council outlining the rules for pension and disability benefit indexation in 2027. The plan ties the indexation rate to a 20% real increase in average wages in 2026, resulting in a projected 3.48% rise – the lowest level since 2023.
If the projection holds, the minimum pension would rise from 1,978.49 zł to roughly 2,047.34 zł, a monthly gain of about 68.85 zł. Higher benefits would see proportionate increases; for example, a 3,000 zł pension would gain roughly 104 zł. The cost of the indexation is estimated at about 16.7 billion zł. The final rate will be confirmed after the Central Statistical Office publishes 2026 inflation and wage data.
Separately, the presidential "Godna emerytura" initiative proposes a guaranteed 150 zł boost for recipients of pensions up to 4,000 zł, a measure that could be more generous than the forecasted indexation.
