Poland's Ranczo series returns with new season featuring Daniel Olbrychski

After a decade‑long hiatus, the Polish comedy‑drama series Ranczo is set to resume with a six‑episode 11th season titled “Ranczo: Zemsta wiedźm.” Filming took place in Jerusalem under extreme heat, with 12‑hour shooting days; production wrapped on 8 August and post‑production is expected to push the broadcast to late autumn on TVP.

The new season adds film legend Daniel Olbrychski as Ignacy Japycz, prompting debate among fans over his political views. Producer Maciej Strzembosz and director Wojciech Adamczyk defended the casting, while co‑star Bogdan Kalus said, “Na pewno sprawdzi się bardzo dobrze. Jest wybitnym aktorem,” and praised the script as “the best‑written” among the upcoming episodes.
