Poland's Sport Ministry funds youth camps and school locker upgrades with over 23 million zł
The Ministry of Sport and Tourism announced that more than 23 million zloty has been allocated to the "Aktywne Wakacje" programme, enabling 415 sports camps for children and youth across Poland. The camps, run by the Fundacja LOTTO im. Haliny Konopackiej, will serve over 18,500 participants between 1 June and 30 September 2026 and cover a wide range of disciplines including football, volleyball, sailing, kayaking, athletics, climbing, chess and dance.
In a separate grant, the Powiat Zgorzelecki received 463 200 zloty under the "Szatnia na medal" initiative to modernise the locker‑room and sanitary facilities at the Zespół Szkół Ponadpodstawowych in Zgorzelec. The renovation will improve comfort, safety and accessibility for students and will be part of a nationwide programme that aims to refurbish 270 locker rooms, with total funding exceeding 51 million zloty.
