Poland’s Summer Heating Fuel Prices Drop for Coal and Wood

Polish consumers are advised to purchase heating fuel during the summer months to take advantage of lower demand and more attractive prices. Coal sold by the Polish Mining Group and other suppliers is priced around 1,150–1,300 zł per tonne, with cheaper bulk options available from private traders at roughly 850–1,090 zł per tonne depending on quality.

Similarly, wood fuel prices have stabilized in July. The State Forests offer the cheapest wet wood, while dry firewood in private shops costs up to 850 zł per cubic meter. Hard hardwoods such as oak and beech reach 250–280 zł per m³, whereas softwoods like spruce and pine are 160–185 zł per m³. Experts warn that prices could rise again in August and September, making summer purchases advantageous for budget‑conscious households.
