Pleszew Hosts XVI National Youth Defense Games as Polish Youth Sports Events Conclude

The XVI Ogólnopolskie Zawody Sportowo‑Obronne Młodzieży OHP concluded in Pleszew despite extreme heat. Young athletes competed in 100‑, 200‑ and 400‑metre sprints, team tug‑of‑war and a first‑aid "Mission Life" challenge. Olympic hammer‑throw champion Szymon Ziółkowski and weather presenter Jarosław Kret attended, and the winning team received bicycles while all participants earned medals and diplomas.

In Łódź, the XXXII Ogólnopolska Olimpiada Młodzieży in water jumping wrapped up with clubs Stal Rzeszów and COSW Częstochowa sharing twelve medals across age groups. Standout performances included Kamil Schoeneich’s narrow gold on the 3 m trampoline and Nel Sychowicz’s podium finishes on multiple events.

Separately, UKS Atleta Ostrołęka athletes qualified for the national youth weight‑lifting Olympiad, setting personal‑record lifts. Sebastian Korzeniecki lifted a total of 149 kg in the 95 kg class, while Szymon Bieńkowski achieved a 180 kg total in the +95 kg class, each breaking multiple personal records.
