Polaris Aviation Group receives air operator certificate in Moldova
Polaris Aviation Group has obtained an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova. The new airline is set to begin commercial operations on November 5, 2026, launching its first regular route between Chișinău and Istanbul.
The company will initially operate using an Airbus A321, registered in Moldova as ER-PAG. The aircraft, manufactured in 2003, has previously been part of fleets for operators including MyTravel Airways, Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia, Sunclass Airlines, and Fly2Sky. Polaris plans to expand its fleet with two additional Airbus aircraft, specifically A320 and A321 models.
Polaris becomes the fourth airline to operate regular passenger flights in Moldova, joining FLYONE, HiSky, and SkyUp. While the company's website lists destinations such as Paris, Berlin, Rome, and London, tickets for these routes are not yet available for booking.
