Polaris launches 275‑hp RZR Pro R Boost, the most powerful production SSV

Polaris introduced its 2027 off‑road lineup, highlighted by the RZR Pro R Boost side‑by‑side vehicle. The model is powered by a 2.0‑litre turbocharged ProStar Fury engine delivering 275 horsepower and about 300 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful production SSV in the world and surpassing rivals such as the Kawasaki Teryx H2 and Can‑Am Maverick R. It also features a reinforced transmission, dual radiators for improved cooling, and a high‑capacity CVT on the updated XPEDITION model.

Polaris said the new model is aimed at the United States, Canada and other markets, but the company faces tariff costs estimated at $320‑$370 million and softer demand that could pressure earnings. Analysts note that the launch’s success will depend on how the firm manages these cost and demand risks while seeking to rebuild margins and sustain revenue growth.
