Polaris releases tribute single ‘Without You’ following guitarist's death

The Australian metalcore band Polaris has released a new single titled ‘Without You’, marking their first musical release in three years. The track serves as an emotional tribute to their late guitarist, Ryan Siew.

In a statement regarding the release, the band described the song as ‘the sound of crushing loss, shock, grief and heartache’ as they attempt to process the tragedy of Siew's passing. The release is accompanied by a music video that blends archival footage of the band's history with new scenes of the remaining members performing in a stark cathedral.

While the single explores themes of vulnerability and loss through melodic metalcore and heavy instrumentation, it remains unclear if this release will lead to a forthcoming studio album.
