Polaris reports Q3 revenue growth driven by utility vehicle demand

Polaris reported third-quarter revenue of approximately $2.06 billion, representing a 10.6% increase year-on-year and exceeding Wall Street estimates. The company returned to a quarterly net profit of $38.4 million, compared to a $16 million loss in the same period last year.

Growth was primarily driven by the utility vehicle segment, which accounted for more than 60% of powersports sales. CEO Michael T. Speetzen noted that utility demand, including sales for agriculture, construction, and government applications, helped offset softness in discretionary recreational markets. The company also reported its sixth consecutive quarter of market share gains in the off-road vehicle sector.

Key contributors to the results included increased shipments of snowmobiles, higher sales in parts, accessories, and apparel, and improved operating efficiencies. Based on these results, management raised its full-year revenue guidance to a midpoint of $7.58 billion and increased its full-year adjusted earnings per share guidance to $3.55.
