Polarise secures debt financing to expand European AI cloud platform

Polarise Holding GmbH, a European provider of sovereign AI cloud solutions, has secured debt financing from SWI Stoneweg Icona Group to expand its AI cloud platform. The financing, totaling up to a high double-digit million-euro amount, replaces a previously announced majority equity investment agreement.

The company aims to build European AI infrastructure through its AI Factories, which are modular data centers integrated into existing buildings using an AI Pod concept. Polarise currently operates sites in Munich and Oslo and is an NVIDIA Cloud Partner.

Future expansion plans include a new facility in Amberg, Bavaria, with an initial capacity of 65 MW, scalable to 120 MW. The funding is intended to meet growing enterprise demand for sovereign AI compute across Europe.
