Polícia Civil recovers stolen trailers in Xinguara, Pará
The Civil Police recovered a set of stolen trailers in Xinguara, Pará, which had been taken from an impound lot in Confresa. The theft occurred between September 12 and 14, while the vehicles were still loaded with corn.
The stolen equipment, consisting of a dolly-type trailer and semi-trailers, had been held at a lot along the BR-158 highway following a court-ordered search and seizure warrant. Investigators noted there were no signs of forced entry at the lot, suggesting the perpetrators used alternative roads to avoid main highways.
Upon locating the vehicles in Xinguara, approximately 552 km from the original site, police found the trailers had been stripped of their wheels and side covers. The vehicles have been seized for legal proceedings, and investigations continue to identify those responsible.
