Polícia Militar do Pará celebrates anniversary and graduates 120 new officers

The Military Police of Pará (PM) recently marked significant milestones through both celebrations and personnel expansion. In Belém, the Clube dos Oficiais da Polícia Militar do Pará (COPM) hosted the ‘Baile das Estrelas’ at the Hangar Convention Center to celebrate the 208th anniversary of the Military Police and the 66th anniversary of the club.

In Marabá, the force expanded its operational capacity with the graduation of 120 new officers following the completion of a nine-month training course. Colonel Gledson Melo dos Santos, commander of the Regional Policing Command II (CPR II), stated that the new professionals are now technically prepared to serve society and integrate into active operations. State officials noted that this incorporation is part of a broader government policy to strengthen public security forces by increasing personnel numbers.
