Polda DIY evaluates spectator permits for PSS vs PSIM derby

Management from PSS Sleman and PSIM Yogyakarta, along with match organizers and four supporter groups, have signed a joint commitment to maintain security for the 2026/2027 Super League in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). The agreement, which included a pact of integrity, was signed at the Polda DIY headquarters and involved local officials including the Regent of Sleman and the Mayor of Yogyakarta.

Despite this security commitment, the Yogyakarta Regional Police (Polda DIY) have not yet decided whether fans will be permitted to attend the upcoming derby match between PSS Sleman and PSIM Yogyakarta. Police spokesperson Kombes Pol Ihsan stated that the final decision regarding spectator attendance will be made following continuous analysis and evaluation of the security situation leading up to the match day. The police emphasized that the safety of supporters, local residents, and the general security of Yogyakarta remains the highest priority in their decision-making process.
