Polda Papua Barat Daya seeks media synergy to maintain public security

The Southwest Papua Regional Police (Polda Papua Barat Daya) held a gathering with journalists from print, electronic, and online media in Sorong to strengthen synergy in maintaining public security and order (kamtibmas).

During the event, held at the Panorama Rylich Hotel, Director of Intelligence Kombes Pol. Satria Adrie Vebrianto emphasized the importance of accurate and educational information in the digital age. He noted that the rapid spread of information presents a challenge, as unverified news can create negative perceptions within the community.

The police and media aim to collaborate to clarify information and communicate truths to the public, ensuring that the region remains safe and conducive. The gathering included representatives from various press organizations, including PWI, IJTI, FJPI, JMSI, and SMSI.
