Poles favor cheap Bulgarian coast while many struggle to unwind on vacation

Bulgaria has been identified as one of the most affordable holiday destinations for Polish travellers in the 2026 season. In the Burgas region a week‑long all‑inclusive stay averages about 2,700 zł, with off‑season offers as low as 1,250 zł. Resorts such as Sunny Beach, Nesebyr and Sozopol provide sandy beaches, extensive tourist infrastructure and low‑cost meals – a family lunch around 140 zł and a three‑course dinner just over 100 zł.

At the same time a Rainbow‑initiated report titled “Urlop bez bagażu?” found that 70 % of Poles do not feel fully rested during their holidays. Around 60 % experience stress about returning to work while still on vacation, and up to 80 % report anxiety throughout their time off. The study highlights frequent checking of work messages and recommends digital‑detox steps such as limiting email checks to once daily or less.
