Polestar expands European lineup with new Polestar 5 GT and Polestar 3 SUV performance test

Polestar announced the start of deliveries for its new Polestar 5 GT in September 2026. The 5.09‑metre, four‑door coupe will compete with the Porsche Taycan and Audi e‑tron GT, offering up to 884 hp (650 kW) in the Performance version, a 0‑100 km/h sprint in about 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h. Pricing begins at €118,600 and rises to €141,600. The model uses an 800‑volt architecture with 350 kW charging capability and a 112 kWh battery, delivering a WLTP range of up to 670 km (base) or 565 km (performance).

In a separate test, the 2026 Polestar 3 Performance SUV was evaluated in Belgium. At 4.9 m long, it is the brand’s largest SUV, positioned between the Porsche Macan Electric and Cayenne Electric. It offers a WLTP range of up to 647 km in the Dual‑Motor version and features active air suspension, 800‑volt 350 kW fast‑charging that can raise the battery from 10 % to 80 % in 22 minutes, and an Android Automotive infotainment system. The review noted minor ergonomic quirks but praised the overall technology and luxury positioning. Polestar’s European expansion also includes a new Polestar Space store opened in Zaventem, Belgium.
