Poliça tours following release of emotional new album ‘Dreams Go’

The Minneapolis-based indie rock band Poliça is touring following the release of their seventh album, ‘Dreams Go’, in September 2025. The album is described as a deeply personal work exploring themes of loss and resilience, shaped by bassist Chris Bierden’s diagnosis of a malignant brain tumor.

Due to his illness, Bierden is unable to perform live. The band has adapted their touring lineup to include Alex Nutter on bass. Poliça, founded by Channy Leaneagh and Ryan Olson, is known for a unique sound blending electronic, indie-rock, R’n’B, and goth-pop, often characterized by the use of two drummers, Drew Christopherson and Ben Ivascu.

During recent performances, such as in Berlin, the band has maintained their focused, art-pop style. The live setup features Leaneagh’s vocals alongside complex electronic percussion and sound manipulation, continuing the band's evolution through significant personal and musical changes.
