Police Academy expands capacity as new cadets begin training
The Police Academy of the Federal Ministry of the Interior has expanded its capacity to meet increasing demand for law enforcement personnel. Acting director Muhamed Ahmić stated that the Academy has increased its capacity from 250 to 520 participants per generation, totaling over a thousand participants annually. This expansion includes improvements to technical equipment, facilities, and accommodation.
In the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, 70 new cadets have commenced basic police training. This brings the total number of cadets from this canton currently attending the Academy to 200, joining approximately 130 cadets who began their training on June 8. The training program is designed to equip future officers with the skills and competencies required for professional and responsible police work, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and respect for human rights.
