Police Academy in Tacen hosts recruitment open house
The Police Academy in Tacen recently hosted an open house event to showcase various police roles to prospective candidates. Approximately 400 students and visitors attended the event, which saw record-breaking turnout for the period preceding the second annual enrollment cycle for the Higher Police School.
Attendees were introduced to diverse units, including traffic police, criminal investigators, special units, mounted police, and the aviation police unit. The event serves as a recruitment tool to address labor shortages in the profession. Following the open house, the enrollment period is scheduled from August 21 to August 27. Candidates must undergo physical fitness tests, medical examinations, psychological evaluations, and security clearances.
Successful applicants will enter a two-year training program with an employment contract that includes an apprenticeship salary. Additionally, Minister Franci Matoz has indicated plans for a renewal of the salary and career systems within the force.
