Police actions follow football stadium incidents in Ragusa and Torre Annunziata
In Ragusa, a 26‑year‑old fan was issued a Daspo prohibition after he tried to enter the pitch at the Aldo Campo stadium following the home match against Athletic Club Palermo on 3 May. The measure, imposed by the local police chief, bans the individual from attending any sporting events in Italy for one year and was accompanied by a criminal complaint for pitch invasion.
At the Giraud stadium in Torre Annunziata, tensions erupted after the Savoia‑Scafatese game. Police reported that a 56‑year‑old man assaulted officers, resulting in his arrest on charges of causing injuries and resisting public officials. His wife was also cited for assault after striking an officer with a flag pole. Both incidents are being investigated by the respective local police units.
