Police and residents rescue kitten trapped in car engine in Konya

Police officers and local residents in the Beyşehir district of Konya successfully rescued a kitten trapped inside the engine compartment of a parked car on the Beyşehir-Antalya highway.

After receiving reports of kitten sounds coming from a vehicle near a local teachers' house, police arrived at the scene. Because the vehicle owner was in Antalya and unable to return immediately, officers took charge of the rescue. The operation involved several attempts, including placing milk and food under the car to lure the animal out. When the kitten panicked and hid under other vehicles, officers used a mobile phone to play recorded kitten sounds, which eventually encouraged the animal to emerge.

Following the rescue, officers noted that the kitten had an eye infection. After receiving veterinary care, the kitten was taken to the police station, where officers intend to adopt the animal.
