Police arrest 29‑year‑old drug dealer in San Giuseppe Vesuviano

During a routine patrol on via Scudieri in San Giuseppe Vesuviano, police observed a 29‑year‑old handing a small package to another person. When the suspects noticed the officers, they fled in opposite directions, but the police stopped and detained the dealer.

A search of the man revealed 18 small packets of cocaine weighing about 6 grams and €220 in cash. Investigators then searched his residence, finding a larger cache: 113 packets of cocaine totaling roughly 34 grams, two precision scales, packaging materials and an additional €185.

The individual was placed in custody and handed over to the judicial authorities. The buyer, found with a single packet, received an administrative sanction for personal possession. The operation is part of an intensified police effort to combat drug trafficking in the Vesuvian area.
