Police arrest four suspects in Mato Grosso robbery investigation

Military Police arrested four individuals—two men aged 22 and 28, and two women aged 18 and 23—in Nova Xavantina following a series of robberies in Água Boa. The group is suspected of being members of a criminal faction.

The suspects allegedly committed two residential robberies during the early morning hours. In one instance, they stole valuables, and in the second, they fled with a white S10 pickup truck. Police located the abandoned vehicle near Praia do Sol and tracked the suspects to a local hotel using security camera footage.

During the search of the hotel room, officers seized a loaded .38 caliber revolver, drugs, precision scales, eight mobile phones, and jewelry recovered from the crime scenes. It was also noted that the men involved were wearing electronic monitoring ankle bracelets that had been turned off.
