Police arrest getaway driver in Taguatinga gas station robbery

The Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF) arrested a getaway driver involved in a gas station robbery in Taguatinga nine months after the incident. The arrest took place on Thursday, September 17, in Águas Lindas, Goiás.

The robbery occurred on January 11 at a station in QND 46. An assailant approached the attendant with a canister, requested fuel, and then threatened the victim with a firearm to steal money, a cell phone, and five liters of gasoline.

Investigators used security camera footage to trace the escape route, which led to a black Fiat Uno waiting near Taguaparque. The vehicle was identified by police due to a broken taillight. While the driver has been apprehended, the primary thief, described as wearing green, remains unidentified. Authorities are requesting public assistance to identify the suspect.
