Police arrest homicide suspect in Serra do Ramalho

A 21-year-old man was arrested by the Bahia Civil Police in Serra do Ramalho for his suspected involvement in a 2024 homicide in Casa Nova. The victim, 16-year-old Marcos Aurélio Souza Ferreira, was killed by gunfire during an attack involving four men on two motorcycles.

During the investigation, the suspect and another man were apprehended after falling from a motorcycle. The individuals reportedly admitted to participating in the homicide and identified a third man, currently in custody in Juazeiro, as the person who ordered the execution. Authorities seized 9mm ammunition and a mobile phone during the operation.
