Montenegro police arrest parents for trafficking 15-year-old daughter
Montenegrin police have arrested a man and charged his wife for human trafficking involving their 15-year-old daughter. Authorities in Podgorica and Ulcinj report that the parents, G. I. (48) and B. D. (44), arranged an illegal marriage between two minors in November 2025. The daughter was subsequently handed over to another family in Ulcinj for 3,000 euros.
Following the transfer, the minor was allegedly forced by Z. K. (43), a resident of Ulcinj, to sell marijuana through the use of force and threats. The exploitation was discovered during targeted police controls at Mala plaža in Ulcinj, where the minor was caught selling the drugs.
This investigation is part of a broader effort by the Montenegrin police to combat human trafficking and protect vulnerable minors.
