Police arrest individuals in separate Italian violent incidents

Police in Italy have made arrests following two separate incidents of violence.

In Lecce, a 24-year-old man from Trepuzzi was arrested after a violent brawl broke out in the historic center during the night of October 25. Witnesses reported approximately ten individuals fighting with fists and objects such as broken bottles and table fragments. During the subsequent police intervention, the suspect allegedly fled on foot and struck an officer with a shoulder charge. Two police officers sustained injuries that are expected to heal within seven days.

In Livorno, three individuals between the ages of 20 and 26 were taken into custody following a violent robbery in July. The incident occurred near Terrazza Mascagni, where a group of five youths allegedly confronted a 29-year-old man with a baseball bat, demanding his necklace. After the victim attempted to flee into a parking lot on Viale Italia, the group caught up to him to complete the robbery. The arrests follow investigations by the Livorno Mobile Squad using surveillance footage and witness testimony.
