Police arrest man known as ‘Harry Potter’ in Avellaneda
Authorities in Dock Sud, Avellaneda, have arrested a 32-year-old man nicknamed ‘Harry Potter’ and a 29-year-old accomplice following a series of seven simultaneous raids. The arrests are linked to an attempted murder on September 16, during which a 34-year-old man was shot in the head and abdomen.
Investigators determined the shooting was a targeted retaliation rather than a robbery. The victim and one of the suspects had reportedly been involved in a previous armed confrontation in August following a dispute. During the raids, police seized a 9mm Glock pistol and ammunition.
The suspect, identified by initials L. A. P., also faces charges related to the aggravated robbery of a Toyota Hilux in Quilmes that occurred in July. The operation was conducted by the Buenos Aires Provincial Police with coordination from the Avellaneda-Lanús Judicial Department.
