Police arrest multiple suspects in separate violent street assaults

Police in Taiwan have apprehended several suspects following two distinct violent incidents involving group assaults.

In Xinzhuang, four men were arrested after a physical confrontation on the street. The dispute reportedly stemmed from a grudge related to drug-related legal issues. During the altercation, the group used blunt instruments to attack a man, causing lacerations to his face, back, and buttocks. Officers located two suspects with bloodstains on their clothing within two hours, followed by the remaining two individuals. Police also seized four etomidate e-cigarettes during the investigation.

In Kaohsiung's Fengshan District, an 18-year-old male was attacked with knives during a confrontation at a park. The incident involved two groups of students who had met to resolve a school-based dispute. The victim sustained two stab wounds to his hand and thigh but survived after receiving medical treatment. Police arrested eight individuals, including four adults aged 18 to 19 and four minors. The suspects face charges including attempted murder, injury, and disturbing the peace. Four of the suspects have been ordered into detention by the court.
